Award Finalists React To News Of Nominations

Up and down the country, the finalists of the Stationery Matters Awards are celebrating their nominations, with the winners announced Tuesday 14 May at London Stationery Show.

The finalists in the Stationery Awards 2024 were revealed last week, with the impressive line-up featuring products from 40 different brands, from the well-established to newbies on the scene.

Jessica Stott, e-commerce and marketing director said the team was “over the moon. It’s especially an honour to be up for the Icon Award, among some massive brands and internationally recognised stationery products. We’re proud to have created products that the industry knows and loves, and to see the industry as a whole continue to grow and evolve given some challenging years. We can’t wait reconnect with everyone at the Stationery Show next week!”

Over at Exacompta Clairefontaine, the team are celebrating being finalists in six categories, with Lawrence Savage, UK marketing manager commenting “With a lot of great industry brands being nominated across this year’s Stationery Matters Awards, we’re delighted to have been announced as finalists within a mind-blowing six categories. It’s a true testament to the hard work and innovation that the group puts into developing new products.  We wish all nominees the best of luck and what promises to be a cracking event.”

Once Upon A Tuesday is gearing up for the show, which will be its first as a B Corp. “Our mission is to create stationery for people who want to organise in all areas of life, in style,” said Michele Ferron, founder. “Creating the tools to help people get clarity from their day using design led stationery is our passion and we’re delighted to be nominated again for the Working from home product of the year award.”

Stone Marketing has a staggering eight products from its brand portfolio up for awards including the popular Legami erasable pens, the Caran d’Ache 849 Nespresso ballpoint pen and products from its Faber-Castell and Midori ranges. “We are honoured to be recognised as a finalist for this year’s Stationery Awards, sharing the spotlight with an exceptional lineup of industry-leading brands,” said Emily Gregory-Stone, brand and marketing director.

Wendy Vickery, marketing manager said: “We’re delighted that our already award-winning Mattehop gel roller has been recognised for its unique properties in the Writing Instrument of the Year category and that our EnerGel Xm Eco 79% pen has been nominated for the Sustainable Product of the Year. But, we’re also extremely proud that Ball Pentel, the original rollerball pen, which spawned a new generation of writing instruments technology after its launch more than 50 years ago, has been shortlisted for The Icon Award. The famous green barrelled rollerball, which has sold millions of pens and is still one of our top 20 products is the very essence of an icon, if ever there was one.”

It’s a massive encouragement to be included in the Awards, especially as our nominated product is a new line for us — we feel incredibly privileged.”

All finalist products will be showcased in a dedicated feature area at London Stationery Show for the duration while the winners will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony which will take place on first evening of London Stationery Show, Tuesday 14 May, that is sponsored by The Stationers’ Company and supported by the Business Design Centre.
