In a recent Facebook reel, owner of Elgin’s Pencil Me In store, Sarah Holmes revealed that the shop printed 67,884 pencils, 16,000 more than in 2023.
Pencil Me In has been printing personalised pencils since 2016 and business has steadily grown over the years. “We have been steadily increasing the wholesale side of our business,” says Sarah. “Last year, 59,000 of our business came from wholesale sales. We really love creating custom sets for independent shops and businesses all over the UK. We’ve worked with The Tate, Disney, Towner Gallery for The Turner Prize, UK Parliament gift shop, The Sherbourne and Shakespeare Globe Theatre among many cool independent shops.”
During a visit to Top Drawer next week, Sarah will also be visiting the Tate with three of her team to see the Electric Dreams Exhibition. “We were thrilled to print pencils for the Tate to go with this exhibition, our second project with them,” says Sarah.
